In the breaks there was time to network and visit the exhibition which reaffirmed the trend of standardization and common TSIs.
There was time to socialize, meet Railway Engineers and providers from different countries and enjoy the local culture at a typical Bulgarian evening thanks to the great hospitality of our Bulgarian colleagues.
On the second day a field trip was organized to the new construction site of the Elin Pelin-Kostenetz section which consists in the construction of modern tunnels for a high speed railway that connects Sofia and Plovdiv and goes further down to Turkey. The tunnels are constructed according to the New Austrian Tunneling Method (NATM).
Let’s continue to work together and improve the European Rail Network!
We are looking forward to the next Railway Forum in Napoli 2025: https://ueeiv.eu/events/railway-forum-2025/
