A review of the British rail regulator’s comparative study of product approval processes across European rail infrastructure managers, examining how governance, safety assurance and innovation pathways differ in Britain and what lessons can be learnt. The session will explore practical lessons and best practices that could unlock more efficient delivery, reduce risk and accelerate the adoption of new technologies to support a more reliable, lower-cost and decarbonised railway.
